Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. Her first fame was her 1980s role in Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. The next time she appeared on the screen was in Dil along with Aamir. Early on, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle class she began to learn how to dance. Early in her life, when she started acting as a young actor, the majority of films she produced did not succeed. In the end, she was successful in Indian film and climbed to the top. Following her marriage, she took some time away from performing before returning. She was a key character on Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit is nominated in fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. The actress was also honoured with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
