Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who loved music. Her childhood was spent listening to classic Boleros from the past along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and when she was a professional young at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. Following her move in America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in the southern part of California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects in both teaching as well as a performer due to her passion for music and arts. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations to keep this tradition vibrant.
