Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a young girl of just five years old, she moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at her first Dragon School. Emma was only six when she realized she wanted to pursue a career as an actress. She studied for a number of years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she studied acting and singing. The actress had performed in several Stagecoach or school shows by the time she was 10 years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was found by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditions of 8. They were selected as three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's screen debut was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in the year 2001. The film set records for the opening weekend and revenues, and was the top-grossing 2001 film. Critics have praised both the film as well as the performances by the three young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma later won five awards to honor her role in the film.
